As many of you who stop by here will know, due to the spite of a realtor, the greed of a developer, the hubris of the city and the apathy of the arts community The Blues Can has lost it's home. This is a call out to our thousands of weekly regulars, tens of thousands of regular fans and everyone else who has had a great time at one of the countries most prolific, respected and truly loved live music venues. We need your help before we lose it for good. If we are going to be ignored by the grant bestowers for being a "for profit" venue (check out what the "not for profit" institutions pay their executives) then we'll just have to do it ourselves. The upside to that is we will never be beholden to anyone but ourselves. I'm confident we can do this. It will take some money, some time, some generosity of others. I believe we can succeed where our governments and institutions have failed us. We all need and deserve this kind of venue to exist. Who's with us? If you think we're over-reaching tell us so and we'll drift off into the sunset, never to be heard from again, if not tell us that too and we'll fight to our last breath to find a new home. So I'll ask again, WHO'S WITH US?
